10. It depends on the day, apparently. Sometimes I have an excellent memory and other times…

11. That’s my life, all day. 

9 - What’s your favorite memory?

My favorite memories are 

1. Making a Fourth of July cake with my Grandma. She bought a Sara Lee pound cake, some Cool-Whip, strawberries, and blueberries and hand me put them together to form the american flag. I did it by myself(I had to be around 9) and I was so proud of it. 

2. The birth of both of my children. Both events were a highlight in my life.

6 - When I say cheese, what memory comes to your mind?
7 - Who lives in most of your memories?

6. When I hear “Cheese!” I think of my two children, who haven’t quite gotten the concept of “pretty” fake smiles. 

7. My Grandma Sara lives in most of my memories. She has impacted my life in ways that I didn’t know were possible.

4 - Do you remember everything about your first kiss?

I don’t remember everything, but I remember enough. We were stationed in Germany and it had been a pretty rough year for my family. In 2nd grade, I had a “boyfriend” named Jose’. His parents were also stationed on the base. I remember playing with him and a bunch of other kids on the playground and we snuck away. We were in the hallway of an apartment building. He leaned in to kiss me and I returned the kiss. It was a short, sweet kiss. It makes me smile to remember it. Afterwards, we went back to the playground and continued playing. I wonder what Jose’ is up to nowadays? 

I think I skipped yesterday, so you get two for the price of one!

2. My happiest memory…my happiest memories are the birth of both of my children. I have a horrible memory, but those two events do not diminish or fade. 

3. My saddest memory is the death of my paternal grandmother. She passed away when I was 16, and I still cry about it to this day (11 years later). She was the only grandparent that I had(I had 3, my dad doesn’t know who his father is and my grandmother took the name to her grave) that treated me like she loved me. I still feel her and, weirdly enough, smell her every now and again. She used to wear “Rare Diamonds” by Avon, and sometimes I will smell it out of nowhere. I like to think that’s her way of letting me know she’s still there, watching out for me.

15 Day Memory challenge

1 - What’s the earliest thing you can remember?

My earliest memory that I can recall is being in Kindergarten. I had a “boyfriend”, his name was Kevin. I remember kissing him on the cheek during recess underneath the slide on the playground. Yes, I was a fast-tailed heffa.

Believe it or not, this ^^^ is hereditary! My kids do the same thing when they get ready to eat. LOL
